There's not much to beat the tantalising smell of a chicken roasting in the oven. The aroma of a plump, flavourful bird, cooking to golden perfection, is one of those that sends nostrils twitching all over the house, and brings them running with no need for a second call to the table. All the better then, if the bird is a free ranger reared by traditional methods, with access to wide open pastures and the freedom to behave exactly as chickens should. All this fresh air and exercise develops firm texture and full flavour, when the bird eventually reaches the table.
All poultry produced by East Ferry Free Range, Geese, Duck, and Turkeys are housed in mobile houses allowing the poultry to move freely from field to house.
East Ferry wants their chickens not just to taste good, but also to be affordable for families who can't possibly pay the premium price of some free-range birds.
